Nordbank AG is undertaking a multi-year digital transformation programme and requires a Lead Enterprise Architect to define the target-state architecture across core banking, payments, and regulatory reporting systems. This is a strategic role reporting to the CTO with direct influence on technology investment decisions.

You will lead architecture review boards, develop reference architectures and technology roadmaps, and ensure alignment between business strategy and technology execution. Key initiatives include migrating legacy monoliths to a microservices-based platform, implementing event-driven architecture for real-time transaction processing, and establishing API governance standards.

We are looking for 10+ years of enterprise architecture experience, preferably within banking or financial services. TOGAF certification is required. Deep understanding of core banking platforms (Temenos, Finastra, or similar), payment systems (SEPA, SWIFT, ISO 20022), and regulatory frameworks (MiFID II, PSD2, DORA) is essential.

This hybrid role is based in Frankfurt with 3 days per week onsite at the client's headquarters. The engagement is expected to run 18–24 months with potential for extension. Nordbank AG offers a collaborative environment with a strong engineering culture and investment in modern technology.
